Nothing here is an affiliate link. Not yet. I don't earn anything if you buy something I've mentioned, and I'm not enrolled in any affiliate program. When that changes, this page changes first, and affiliate links will be labeled where they actually appear rather than only mentioned here.

Every outbound link is routed through deskdaemon.com/go/<slug>. That's so I can see which links people find useful, and so I can fix where a link points without editing a video caption that's already published. What gets logged is covered on the privacy page.

A verdict is never for sale. On the gear list, "would buy again", "fine, with caveats" and "wouldn't buy again" reflect actual use. If something I eventually earn from turns out to be bad, it gets marked that way: the money doesn't buy it a better line.

Every tool review carries two labels. The first says how I know: Personally Tested (I've used it myself) orResearched / Not Personally Tested (I've read the docs and what it can access, but haven't run it). The second is my take:Recommended, Recommended With Conditions,Not Recommended or No Verdict Yet. A news post about something new explains what it is and does; it isn't a review. Nobody pays for a spot or a better label.

Sponsors and free products are labeled. I don't have any yet. If a company ever pays me or sends me something for free, the post says so at the start (#ad when it's paid, #gifted when the product was free), not only in the caption.

AI voices and AI visuals are labeled. Some videos use an AI narrator, labeled on screen, who reports Chad's own verdicts and never claims to have used anything. The Daemon mascot and some other clips and pictures are AI-generated, and those are labeled too. Platforms' AI labels are applied where they require them.

Independent. Desk Daemon isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or by the makers of the tools and gear I cover. Product names are used to say what something is or works with, and they belong to their owners.
